| Far more beneficial than honouring the great is the practice of loving them. Praise and eulogy will raise them to an unreachable pedestal. Love binds one heart to another. Gratitude for the inspiration and instruction received must bind hearts in love. Celebration of Christmas should not include some carols, tableaux, artificial trees and Santa Claus. It must be soaked in the resolution to practice at least a few lessons Jesus taught us. The very first need is faith in God and in our own Divine Nature. Spiritual joy, appreciation, and the vision (Darshan) of God must become the natural breath of life and the very purpose of your existence. Jesus taught by precept and example to mankind the Atmic principle which is the eternal source of bliss. Whatever you do, wherever you are, however you fare, be convinced that you are ever in God. Know that all is Divine and all acts are offerings to the glory of God. In this manner make your lives fruitful. – Divine Discourse, Dec 25, 1982. | |
Believe that God resides in all beings. Speak such words as would spread goodness, truth and beauty. - Baba |
