| Have the progress of your country, your duty (Dharma) and your innate Divinity (Atma) before your mind’s eye at all times. Let your hunger for serving these three, grow more and more. Then your education will serve its purpose and give you a sense of mission and fulfillment. You will naturally acquire respect for elders, faith in your own Self, fear of sin, and fear of going against the voice of God present within you. Never cross this line – Do not do anything which brings tears in the eyes of your parents. Honour them and obey them. Do not condemn them as old-fashioned. Remember the adage, “Old is Gold”. Your parents can guide you; they can share with you their experience of the world and its tricks, and you will benefit from them. - Divine Discourse, Nov 25, 1959. | |
The beauty of life depends upon our good habits. - Baba |
