| Some consider themselves great because they have vast property or wealth. But the real wealth and genuine greatness is virtue which earns the grace of God. In the epic Mahabharatha, the Kauravas had everything that the world honoured and envied - arms, ambition, friends, allies, forces and riches. But God was not on their side, for they were wicked. In the end, they reaped disaster and disgrace. From this, you can infer that all the things that the world prides on having, are momentary pleasures. They appear to give happiness when they come, but leave us with grief when they disappear and the joy is temporary. However the grace of God persists without change at all times and all places. It is pure, uncontaminated, unchanging, complete and mighty. Endeavour to earn this grace and the joy that flows from it. - Divine Discourse, Apr 4, 1965. | |
The grace of God is like insurance. It will help you in your time of need without any limit. -Baba |
